SENIORS RIDE STC BUSSES FOR $10 IN SEPTEMBER

Released on August 30, 2010

This September, seniors from across the province will have the opportunity to ride any Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) bus on any route for just $10.

"We are pleased to be offering this promotion to Saskatchewan seniors once again," Minister responsible for STC Jim Reiter said. "STC busses can take Saskatchewan seniors where they want to go when they want to go, and the Senior Seat Sale is a great deal at $10 per ticket."

The $10 Senior Seat Sale in September builds on a string of successful promotions at STC. This summer hundreds of young people took advantage of the $40 Youth Pass that offered unlimited rides on STC busses for a month. In the spring, the first Senior Seat Sale of the year brought in hundreds of seniors to ride STC busses for just $10.

"At STC we take great pride in making sure every coach is clean and safe and we like to go above and beyond by giving our passengers free internet access and taking action for the environment by using biofuels in our busses," Reiter said. "The Senior Seat Sale gives seniors the opportunity to save while they let us take care of the driving."
