ISC AND SGEU REACH TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

Released on April 16, 2010

A tentative agreement has been reached between Information Services Corporation (ISC) and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU) Local 2214.

"I'm very pleased negotiations have concluded, so very quickly, with a tentative settlement," Minister responsible for ISC June Draude said. "I congratulate both parties on the result of their efforts."

The tentative agreement was reached April 6, 2010, after a total of nine days of bargaining following the interest-based bargaining process.

"I am pleased with the progress we made in addressing our issues," ISC Union Chairperson Barb Wright said. "This result is a true testament to the interest-based bargaining process."

This agreement is subject to ratification. Both parties will be recommending acceptance to their principals. Until the SGEU conducts a ratification process with the 193 members, no details of the settlement will be released.
