PUBLIC SAFETY MESSAGE: OFFENDER RELEASED IN ERROR, NOW UNLAWFULLY AT LARGE

Released on September 16, 2009

Curtis Russell FRANCIS, Date of Birth April 3, 1983, was found to have been released in error from the Regina Provincial Court House on September 1, 2009.

Francis had been remanded at the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre on charges of assaulting a peace officer, failing to appear in court, breach of probation and mischief charges. Francis appeared in court on September 1 on new charges and was released until his new court date. Mr. Francis should have been returned to the Correctional Centre.

The error was discovered when a request was made to the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre on September 15 to have Francis appear on the new charges in October.

His physical description is as follows:

Height: 6'0"
Weight: 174 lbs
Hair Colour: Brown
Eye Colour: Brown

Any person who knows of Francis's whereabouts should not approach him, but should contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
