Motorists are advised to be aware of ongoing provincial highways construction work.
"As always, please slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, while remembering base fines start at $140 for speeding through an Orange Zone," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said.
Construction that has recently started includes bridge work on Highway 26, about 3 km west of Loon Lake, and Highway 980, about 47 km north of Arran. More details about this work and a list of other projects are available in the attached backgrounder.
This will be the last weekly provincial construction update of the season, but media advisories will be issued on a required basis and motorists can still get important travel information online at www.highways.gov.sk.ca/road-conditions/.
