Saskatchewan farmers have 99 per cent of the 2009 crop harvested, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report.
Harvest in the southern and west-central regions is mostly complete. The northeastern and northwestern regions of the province have 95 and 97 per cent of the crop in the bin respectively, but some flax, oats and canola are still being harvested in these regions.
The northeast has 73 per cent of the flax combined, while the northwestern and east-central regions have 95 and 93 per cent of the flax harvested.
Ninety-five per cent of the canola is combined in the two northern regions.
The oat crop is 95 per cent harvested in the northeast and 93 per cent harvested in the northwest.
Twenty-five per cent of the sunflower crop has been harvested in the province. Traditionally, sunflowers are the last crop to be harvested, and crops are frequently taken off the field after the snow has fallen. They do not tend to experience the same degree of downgrading as other crops as a result of being left in the field.
Farmers are busy combining, drying grain, baling straw, hauling bales, cleaning corrals and bringing cattle home from the pastures.
