MEETING ON CRIME RELATED ISSUES IN OTTAWA

Corrections, Public Safety and Policing Minister Darryl Hickie is in Ottawa today to discuss crime related issues with Federal Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan.

"Our government is committed to ensuring the safety and security of Saskatchewan people," Hickie said. "I look forward to meaningful discussions with our federal counterpart and I am optimistic our meeting will leave us with a renewed commitment to enhanced safety in our province and across Canada."

First Nations Policing, gang issues and initiatives, and Saskatchewan's relationship with the RCMP are among the agenda topics being discussed by the Ministers.
