JUSTICE LAUNCHES NON-PROFIT TUTORIAL

Released on May 7, 2009

The Corporations Branch of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice and Attorney General launched an on-line interactive tutorial for non-profit corporations today.

This new tool will make it easier for directors and officers of non-profit corporations to access the information they need to carry out their duties, roles and responsibilities.

"It is important that people understand their roles and responsibilities when they agree to sit on a non-profit board," Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan said. "We want to support these board members so that they can run non-profit corporations in a manner that truly benefits their members and the people that they serve."

To view the tutorial, please visit www.justice.gov.sk.ca/NPT.
