NEW U.S. MEDIA RELATIONS FIRM

The provincial government today confirmed that Nelson Mullins, the Washington D.C.-based law firm that is already providing Saskatchewan with strategic and legal advice, has been given an additional contract for media relations services in the United States.

The new contract is signed by former U.S. Ambassador to Canada David Wilkins, who is a partner with Nelson Mullins. It runs from August 1, 2009, to August 1, 2010, and replaces a contract signed with Development Counsellors International (DCI). The cost of the new contract is $144,000 for a one-year period.
