Translations are made available to increase access to Government of Saskatchewan content for populations whose first language is not English.

The Government of Saskatchewan does not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information translated by this system. YOUTH AWARD NOMINATION DEADLINE APPROACHING

Saskatchewan residents have until January 30 to nominate individuals for the Saskatchewan Youth Award.

Anyone who knows an exceptional young person who deserves recognition for their personal achievements or contributions to their community, can nominate him or her for the Saskatchewan Youth Award.

Any Saskatchewan citizen between the ages of 15 and 24 is eligible for nomination. Posthumous nominations are not accepted. Individuals can be nominated for projects or achievements they were involved in for up to one year prior to the nomination.

Nominees will be recommended based on a broad range of achievements and endeavours including, but not limited to, leadership, volunteerism, innovation, artistic or cultural accomplishments, academic excellence, athletics and other personal achievements.

Nominations are adjudicated by an independent committee, comprised of members of the Saskatchewan Honours Advisory Council and youth representatives. Recipients will be announced by summer 2009.
