AOL REGINA AND AOL SWIFT CURRENT CLOSED

Released on August 24, 2009

The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour has cancelled the Certificates of Registration of the Academy of Learning (AOL) Regina and (AOL) Swift Current. The registration was cancelled due to a lack of compliance with the legislative requirements governing private vocational schools.

Ministry staff was onsite today at both locations. Officials will be notifying students of their options and will assist them in either continuing their post-secondary education or receiving tuition refunds.

Private vocational schools are owned and operated by individuals or corporations without direct public funding. They are regulated under authority of The Private Vocational Schools Regulation Act, 1995 and The Private Vocational Schools Regulations, 1995.
