UPGRADES TO WEYBURN COURTHOUSE CONTINUE

Released on August 21, 2009

Upgrades to the Weyburn Courthouse will continue later this fall

The Ministry of Government Services is upgrading the Weyburn Courthouse with improvements including elevator installation, accessibility upgrades to the washrooms, an upgraded heating and cooling system, and foundation repairs. This project was put on hold when the condition of the foundation was found to require more work than expected.

Government Services has thoroughly investigated the condition of the building foundation and hired a consultant to explore options to repair it. Work is expected to begin on the foundation this fall.

The other upgrades will be completed once the integrity of the foundation has been restored.
