CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR THE WEEKEND

Highways and Infrastructure Minister Wayne Elhard reminds motorists to keep in mind new and ongoing projects when travelling this weekend and to drive safely.

"Before you leave home take a few minutes to plan the safest and most efficient route for your travels," Elhard said. "Please also slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, be alert and be prepared to stop as directed."

Highway 4

Micro-surfacing is underway on Highway 4 from about 22 kilometre (km) north of its junction with Highway 31 south of Biggar to about 5 km north. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 6

Work is underway to replace the existing drainage structures through Highway 6 about 2.4 km and 4.4 km south of the Pleasantdale Access. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction areas.

Highway 11

Construction of the new lanes is underway from north of Hague to South of Rosthern. Be aware of blowing dust.

Highway 40

Thirteen kilometres of resurfacing is taking place on Highway 40 from about 14 km southwest of its junction with Highway 40 near Parkside to north of Leask. Traffic may be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 49

Construction may be underway on Highway 49 from its junction of Highway 38, south of Kelvington, to about 3 km east of its junction with Highway 38. Be aware of blowing dust. Traffic may be reduced to one lane at times.

Highway 155

Work is underway to replace the existing drainage structures through Highway 155 about 57 km north of its junction with Highway 55 at Green Lake. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.

Highway 303

A temporary detour is in place while bridge construction is underway just west of Turtleford.

Highway 307

Micro-surfacing is underway on Highway 307 from about 0.5 km north of Smiley to 8 km north. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.
