DEPUTY MINISTER OF CORRECTIONS, PUBLIC SAFETY AND POLICING SUSPENDED

Deputy Minister to the Premier Garnet Garven today announced that Deputy Minister of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing (CPSP) Terry Coleman has been suspended with pay, effective immediately, pending a review.

Deputy Minister of Justice Doug Moen will conduct an internal review of the circumstances that led to the mistaken release of an inmate and the subsequent delay in notifying the public.

Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs Al Hilton will assume the additional duties of acting Deputy Minister of CPSP.
