SASKENERGY DELIVERY RATE INCREASE APPROVED

The Provincial Government today approved SaskEnergy's natural gas delivery rate request for a $2 per month increase to the Basic Monthly Charge.

The Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel recommended approval of this request on October 8, 2008, indicating the increase was fair and reasonable. The new delivery rate is effective November 1, 2008.

This increase, when combined with the previously announced commodity rate adjustment to $8.51/Gigajoule, results in a total bill impact of $19.50 per month or about a 20 per cent increase for the average residential customer.
