NEW CHAIRS FOR WORKERS’ COMPENSATION BOARD, LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD

Advanced Education, Employment and Labour Minister Rob Norris today announced new Chairs for both the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) and the Labour Relations Board (LRB).

Ken Love, Q.C. of Regina becomes the new Chair of the LRB. Love is a partner in the MacLean Keith law firm and has over 30 years of legal experience with the City of Regina, the provincial government and in private practice. He has represented both employees and the City of Regina before the LRB on numerous occasions.

David Eberle of Humboldt becomes the new WCB Chair. Eberle also practiced law, with 20 years of experience in private practice in Humboldt and Melfort. He has also owned and operated a successful business in Humboldt since 1981.

"Both Mr. Love and Mr. Eberle have strong professional backgrounds and will provide excellent leadership in their new roles with the provincial government," Norris said.

Norris thanked the outgoing Chairs of both boards for their service to the province. Both have been terminated without cause and will be offered an appropriate severance settlement. The two Vice-Chairs of the LRB have also been terminated without cause, with their replacements to be named in due course.
