NEW CHAIR OF SASKATCHEWAN GOVERNMENT INSURANCE NAMED

Crown Corporations Minister Ken Cheveldayoff today announced the appointment of Warren Sproule as the new Chair of the Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) Board of Directors.

Sproule has practiced law in Regina since 1982 and is currently a managing partner in the Regina law firm Kanuka Thuringer LLP, where he specializes in corporate-commercial law. Before his appointment as Chair of the SGI board, he was on the board of directors of SaskTel.

Sproule replaces Peter Whitmore, who stepped down as SGI Chair after being appointed by the federal government to the Court of Queen's Bench.
