The Government of Saskatchewan does not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information translated by this system. Some files or items cannot be translated, including graphs, photos and other file formats such as portable document formats (PDFs).

SASKSMART INNOVATIONS FUND ACCEPTING PROPOSALS

Approximately $900,000 is available to help Saskatchewan communities address literacy challenges through the SaskSmart Innovations Fund. The Literacy Office of the Ministry of Education will be accepting proposals for funding from organizations until June 23.

The SaskSmart Innovations Fund assists communities in designing and implementing local Community Literacy Plans for family and workplace literacy.

Two types of funding are available: Expressions of Interest Grants for developing Community Literacy Plans and contract funding for implementing Community Literacy Plans.

Since 2006, when the fund was implemented, 41 communities have received support for literacy development projects across the province.
