NEW WEBSITE IMPROVES SERVICE FOR LIQUOR STORE CUSTOMERS

Released on December 15, 2008

Saskatchewan liquor stores have a new online tool that will help improve customer service and offer patrons a better way to plan ahead and plan responsibly.

A new retail website, www.saskliquor.com, was launched today by the Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) Dan D'Autremont. The site includes information about SLGA products, store locations, hours of operation, contact information, career opportunities, responsible use initiatives and more.

"For years, SLGA customers have been asking for an online product search to help them find the more than 2,000 products available in SLGA's liquor stores and franchises," D'Autremont said. "This new website will ensure that SLGA is meeting the needs of its customers."

Aside from searching for specific products and availability, customers can click on saskliquor.com to find the locations of SLGA's 79 liquor stores and more than 185 rural franchises. The website also has information about how customers can special order products not listed by SLGA, how to obtain a liquor permit for a special event, a lifestyles section that features information about industry trends and products and a careers section with SLGA's current employment opportunities. As well, the website has information about responsible use initiatives supported by SLGA.

"Saskliquor.com is a tool that provides SLGA customers with the information they are seeking," D'Autremont said. "We're very pleased to be able to provide customers with this improved service."
