Industry and Resources Minister Eric Cline is in Vancouver tomorrow to deliver the Saskatchewan economic momentum message that was so well received in Calgary last week.
Cline will host a reception for business executives and investors as part of the Innovative by Nature campaign. He will be joined by Regina Regional Economic Development Authority chair Paul Martin, and representatives from the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and Cameco Corporation. The group will speak to the audience of business executives about Saskatchewan’s achievements in innovation, its booming economy and its competitive investment climate.
“Saskatchewan has one of the strongest economies in Canada and as a result, offers a wide range of opportunities that are very relevant to investors in Vancouver,” Cline said. “It is critical to promote that our robust economy is expanding on all fronts thanks to our science and technology, and our innovative ways of generating economic growth, including business tax reform.”
Researchers at the University of British Columbia are directly involved as leads on three beamlines in design stages or construction at the Canadian Light Source. These beamlines in Saskatoon ensure Canada’s leading edge role in pharmaceutical research, clean energy and next generation computers.
The reception takes place tomorrow at 5:30 pm at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver. Innovative by Nature is a national campaign that targets out-of-province business leaders who make investment decisions. The campaign focuses on Saskatchewan’s strong tradition of innovation, vibrant economy and excellent quality of life.
