NEW GOVERNMENT HAS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR HARASSMENT

Released on December 7, 2007

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) has dismissed an employee after investigating a complaint of harassment against another employee.

"As an employer, this government has a duty to ensure a harassment-free workplace for all employees and we will not sit by and tolerate harassment like the NDP government did," Minister responsible for SLGA Dan D'Autremont said. "We want the public to know we take these concerns seriously and have a zero tolerance approach regarding harassment in our workplaces."

No further details about the complaint will be released, in order to protect the privacy of the victim.
