SASKATCHEWAN OFFERS REAL CAREERS, REAL LIFE

Released on August 29, 2007

Job seekers in Alberta and Southern Ontario - expatriates or not - are once again being invited to come "home" to Saskatchewan as the province works to secure workers in the current booming economy.

"Saskatchewan offers an unbeatable combination of lifestyle and career opportunities," Advanced Education and Employment Minister Warren McCall said. "Building a life here means more time embracing the good life and less time stuck in traffic."

The campaign, which commenced on August 27, will run entirely outside of Saskatchewan over the next six weeks.

The $320,000 campaign features testimonials from Saskatchewan residents who have built a life - and a future - in Saskatchewan. Job seekers in Alberta and in the London/Windsor/St. Catherines area of southern Ontario will be invited to explore opportunities at SaskJobs, the province's largest job-matching website.

SaskJobs will be promoted on billboards, newspapers, public transit, helicopter traffic reports and two specially designed semi-trailers that will travel across the prairie provinces. AEE is also embarking on its most aggressive online advertising campaign ever, which includes display and banner ads for SaskJobs in popular social marketing, news and web-based e-mail sites - including Facebook.com.

"Saskatchewan is for real," McCall said. "We're growing, we're prospering and we're inviting people from across the country and around the world to embrace the opportunity to share in that prosperity."
