Premier Lorne Calvert announced today that His Royal Highness The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, will visit Saskatchewan from June 1st-3rd.

The main purpose of the visit is the investiture of the Earl as an honorary member of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit. Other engagements will be announced at a later date. The visit is part of a Canadian tour that includes Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

"I am delighted that the Earl of Wessex accepted our invitation to become an honorary member of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit," Calvert said. "This will be his fourth visit to our province and we look forward to renewing our acquaintance with him."
