Released on May 1, 2006

Health Minister Len Taylor today announced the appointment of Donald Code of Prince Albert to the Prince Albert Parkland Regional Health Authority.

"I am pleased that the province's health authorities continue to attract members with a wide range of experience and skills," Taylor said. "The residents of Prince Albert Parkland Health Region continue to be well served by their health authority members."

"This appointment brings to the regional health authority someone with long involvement in the community and a strong grounding in financial matters," health authority chair Ray Ewanchuk said.

Mr. Code is a branch manager for Conexus Credit Union in Prince Albert. He is past president of the Credit Union Managers' Association and has served on the board of St. David's Anglican Church, as treasurer for the Diocese of Saskatchewan.

The appointment is in effect until July 2008. The province's health authorities are responsible for the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of health services within each of 12 health regions.
