NEW CEO FOR CROWN INVESTMENTS CORPORATION

Released on February 28, 2006

Premier Lorne Calvert today announced the appointment of Ron Styles as the President and CEO of Crown Investments Corporation (CIC) of Saskatchewan.

The appointment is effective April 1st, 2006.

Ron Styles was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. He completed his post-secondary education at the University of Regina with a Masters degree in Economics. Ron brings over 25 years of public sector experience to his new role, most recently serving as the Deputy Minister of Finance since 2001. Prior to that, he was Deputy Minister of Highways and Transportation, President of SaskWater and held other progressively senior positions in Saskatchewan Housing, Municipal Affairs and SaskPower.

"I am pleased that Mr. Styles has accepted this challenging position," Calvert said. "His proven leadership abilities and extensive experience in several sectors within the public service, particularly the financial sector, will serve him well in his new role. He brings great integrity and commitment to this position."

Styles replaces Tom Waller, Q.C., who announced earlier this year that he would be leaving his position at CIC effective February 28th, 2006. Blair Swystun will serve as Acting President and CEO of CIC in the interim.

Mr. Waller has agreed to continue to work with the province on a short-term contract basis to lead the recently established Forestry Secretariat.

"We appreciate Mr. Waller's commitment to continue to lend his talent and advice to lead the provincial Forestry Secretariat," Calvert said. "This is an important initiative, as we look at ways to ensure the prosperity and success of our forestry sector and deal with current challenges in the pulp and paper industry."
