TWENTY SWIFT CURRENT AREA FARM FAMILIES HONORED BY ISC

Twenty Swift Current area farm families received special recognition today at an event held in their honour. Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewan (ISC) presented each family with a full colour copy of their family's original land grant or title.

Receiving this award is a significant achievement because it means that members of the same family have farmed the same land continuously for 100 years or more.

"The accomplishment of these families is something that ISC wanted to recognize and celebrate," ISC CEO Mark MacLeod said. "It is wonderful that these families continue to work the same land that their ancestors did 100 years ago. It's truly a testament to the commitment and perseverance that so many have shown to build our province."

The presentation of these grants is a continuation of ISC's successful centennial events, which honoured farm families through presentations of replica land grants and titles.

Throughout the summer of 2006, ISC will be making presentations to more than 250 recipients at customer appreciation barbecues across the province.

Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewan is the provincial Crown Corporation responsible for the administration of land titles, survey and personal property registries, as well as related geographic information and mapping systems.

Formed as a corporation in January 2000, but with a history that pre-dates the province itself, ISC provides valued customer-focused services through all business channels, including the Internet, telephone, fax and in-person at its eight regional customer service centres located throughout the province.
