Health Minister John Nilson today announced the reappointment of 10 current members of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority to a second three-year term."The health authority members, under the leadership of chairperson Ben Weber and vice-chairperson Ivan Peterson, have served the community well since the creation of regional health authorities in 2002," Nilson said. "I am pleased that we can call upon them for three more years of service."
Reappointed to the regional health authority board are:
· Ben Weber, Yorkton, chairperson
· Ivan Peterson, Hazel Dell, vice-chairperson
· John Nightingale, Esterhazy
· Raymond J. King, Foam Lake
· Irene Adams, Langenburg
· Janet Hill, Yorkton
· Audrey Horkoff, Kamsack
· Jennie Ortynsky, Canora
· Karen Keshane, Norquay
· Greg Kobylka, Yorkton
The appointments are in effect until July 2008. The authority is responsible for the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of health services within the health region.
Nilson expressed thanks for past service to Albert Seib of Melville and Beverly Kostichuk of Insinger, who declined reappointment. The two vacancies will be filled in the coming months.
