Premier Lorne Calvert presented three individuals with the Saskatchewan Distinguished Service Award today.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes non-residents of the province who have made outstanding contributions to Saskatchewan and the development of the provincial economy and society.

Recipients are:

• Adrian Burns, Vice Chair of the National Arts Centre, Ottawa;

"We are fortunate to have close cultural and social ties with peoples across the globe and to have the opportunity to acknowledge the significant contributions they make to the well-being of Saskatchewan and its residents," Calvert said.

"I am pleased that we are able to recognize these individuals for their service and for bringing positive attention to Saskatchewan," Provincial Secretary Joan Beatty said.
