The Government of Saskatchewan is investing $350,000 on an addition and renovations to Naicam School."We are investing in schools, in students and in the future of Saskatchewan," Learning Minister Judy Junor said. "As part of our long-term K-12 capital strategy that allows appropriate lead time for school divisions to plan, these 2004-05 projects demonstrate our continued commitment to work with school divisions to provide quality education for our students."
The Tiger Lily School Division will use the funds to build a new gym for the school as well as renovate gym service areas such as the change rooms. This project will be cost-shared with the Tiger Lily School Division.
This project is part of the provincial government's investment of $4.2 million to improve the learning environment in 34 Saskatchewan schools. With these projects, the total commitment by government to K-12 capital projects announced so far this fall is over $30 million.
"These school improvement projects are part of the government's commitment to invest in modern, well-equipped learning facilities for Saskatchewan students," Junor said. "Investing in education enriches our communities and ensures a wide open future for Saskatchewan students."
