ASSISTANCE PROVIDED TO CHIP AND DALE HOUSING GROUP HOME

Released on March 21, 2003

Kim Trew, MLA for Regina Coronation Park, on behalf of Social Services Minister Glenn Hagel, today announced a one time grant of $15,000 from the provincial government to Chip and Dale Housing of Regina.

The grant will be used to repair the basement of its Langley Street group home, one of eight group homes the agency operates for people with mental or physical challenges.

"This one time grant confirms our ongoing commitment to the health and comfort of residents and our commitment to support Chip and Dale Housing," Trew said.

Chip and Dale's Langley Street facility serves three people with disabilities in a community based environment. The agency has an excellent track record of providing quality and responsive residential services.
