The provincial government is investing $250,000 on structural upgrades and renovations to Rose Valley School in the Wadena School Division.
"We are investing in schools, in students, and in the future of Saskatchewan," Learning Minister Judy Junor said.
The Wadena School Division will use the funds for structural roof and wall upgrades, and renovations to the science lab and main entry area at Rose Valley School. This project will be cost-shared with the Wadena School Division.
"With the $36 million in the Saskatchewan Learning K-12 capital budget, which includes $4.6 million from the Centenary Fund, approximately 140 K-12 school construction, renovation or upgrading projects will be funded in communities around the province this year," Junor said.
Additional projects in other school divisions throughout the province will be announced over the remainder of the fiscal year to March 31st, 2004.
"This school improvement project is part of the government's commitment to invest in modern, well-equipped learning facilities for Saskatchewan students," Junor said. "Investing in education enriches our communities and ensures a wide open future for Saskatchewan students."
