CALVERT EXTENDS SYMPATHY ON PASSING OF CARL KWIATKOWSKI

Released on February 3, 2003

Premier Lorne Calvert today extended sympathy on the passing of Carl Kwiatkowski, MLA for Carrot River Valley.

"On behalf of the people of Saskatchewan, I extend my deepest sympathies to Carl's family, friends and colleagues," said Premier Lorne Calvert. "Carl's passing was a tragic loss to his family, a loss to his constituents and the people of Saskatchewan, a loss to his colleagues, and a personal loss."

"I have known Carl for many years, and count him as a personal friend. Although we were on opposite sides of the legislature, all members held him in high regard for his professionalism and dedication to the people he served."

"Carl will be missed."
