CHANGES TO SENIOR PUBLIC SERVICE

Released on March 26, 2002

Premier Lorne Calvert announced changes today to the senior public service

to reflect the new responsibilities outlined in the government

restructuring initiative.



These changes are effective April 1st.:



Larry Spannier, Deputy Minister of Industry and Resources;



Brent Cotter, Deputy Minister of Government Relations and

Aboriginal Affairs;



Craig Dotson, Deputy Minister of Learning; and



Neil Yeates, Deputy Minister of Corrections and Public Safety.



As a result of these changes arising from the restructuring initiative, a

number of other appointments were made, also effective April 1st.:



Ray Clayton, President of the Saskatchewan Property Management

Corporation; and



John Law, Chief Information Officer, Information Technology Office

(ITO).



The Premier made two further appointments effective April 15th:



Stuart Kramer, President of the Saskatchewan Water Corporation; and



Terry Scott, Deputy Minister of Environment.



Premier Calvert also confirmed the following senior executives in their

current positions:



Dan Perrins, Deputy Minister to the Premier;



Harvey Brooks, Deputy Minister of Highways and Transportation;



Bonnie Durnford, Deputy Minister of Social Services;



Angie Gélinas, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Recreation;



Gord Nystuen, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural

Revitalization;



Alan Parkinson, Deputy Minister of Northern Affairs;



Steven Pillar, Deputy Minister of Labour;



Ron Styles, Deputy Minister of Finance;



John Whyte, Deputy Minister of Justice;



Glenda Yeates, Deputy Minister of Health; and



Wynne Young, Chair of the Public Service Commission.
