The Provincial Government is investing $324,000 for renovations for arecently acquired Catholic elementary school in North Battleford.
"We are investing in schools, in students, and in the future of
Saskatchewan," Learning Minister Jim Melenchuk said.
The North West Roman Catholic School Division will receive $324,000 in
provincial government funding to renovate École Monseigneur Blaise Morand
separate elementary school in North Battleford. This project will be cost
shared with the Northwest Roman Catholic School Division.
"With $40 million in the Department of Learning's capital budget for
schools, approximately 140 school construction, renovation or upgrading
projects will be funded in communities around the province this year,"
Melenchuk said. "An additional $20 million for school facilities was made
available, over a four year period, from the Centenary Fund which was
announced in 2000."
Additional projects will be announced throughout the province in the next
few weeks.
"This school improvement project is part of the government's commitment to
invest in modern, well-equipped learning facilities for Saskatchewan
students," Melenchuk added.
