Highways and Transportation Minister Judy Bradley today announced a$1.7 million grading project on Highway 903 between Waterhen Reserve
Access and Cole Bay Access.
"Work began on this 15.6 km grading project in early April and is
anticipated to be completed by the end of July," Bradley said. "An
estimated 33 jobs will be used in completion of the project."
Kay's Construction Inc. was awarded the contract as the lowest of five
bidders for the grading project. The $1.7 million cost includes
department-supplied materials and services. The exact location of the
grading on Highway 903 is from Broad Creek to 88.5 km north of its
junction with Highway 55 for a total distance of 15.6 km.
"A $15 million increase in the department's budget this year means a
very busy construction season and crews will be working hard to
improve and repair Saskatchewan roads and highways," Bradley said.
"The increased funding demonstrates our commitment to preserving our
investment in the Saskatchewan highway system."
