SASKATCHEWAN GAMING CORPORATION PRESIDENT STEPS DOWN

Released on April 5, 1999

Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Minister Joanne Crofford today

announced that Gordon W. Staseson has stepped down as President and

CEO. Effective April 1, 1999 Joe van Koeverden, who has been working

alongside Staseson since February 1, has assumed full responsibility

as President and CEO.

"Gord Staseson has made a remarkable contribution to Saskatchewan's

gaming industry and the success of Casino Regina," Crofford said.

"While he is obviously a tough act to follow, I am confident that Joe

van Koeverden has the skills and ability to continue to lead the

Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation in the right direction. He has an

extensive background in the tourism and hospitality sector and

Aboriginal business development.

"These skills are critical since he is inheriting a legacy that saw

Casino Regina flourish as a significant contributor to the

Saskatchewan economy and a top tourism draw. I have every confidence

that Casino Regina will continue to prosper under Joe's direction and

guidance."

"I'm looking forward to the opportunity of leading such a dynamic

and exciting corporation," van Koeverden said. "I am most

appreciative to Gord for the considerable amount of time and

energy that he has provided to me since I arrived in Regina.

Gord has introduced me to a broad cross section of Regina's

business community and has helped me gain a better understanding

of the unique challenges and opportunities that Saskatchewan's

gaming industry offers."
