An updated, 1998 version of the Northern Saskatchewan BusinessDirectory has been published by Saskatchewan Northern Affairs. The
publication lists more than 650 companies and services operating
within the Northern Administration District. Northern firms are also
listed by individual community and by the types of goods and services
they provide.
"The directory is prepared by the Economic Development Division of
Saskatchewan Northern Affairs to let potential customers know about
the wide range of business services now available in the North,"
Northern Affairs Minister Keith Goulet said. "The directory is an aid
to mining companies, contractors, government agencies and others
wishing to take advantage of northern-based commercial services."
For the first time, the Northern Saskatchewan Business Directory is
also available via the Internet through a website maintained by the
Keewatin Career Development Corporation (KCDC). The Corporation
serves a network of job placement and training agencies in communities
throughout northern Saskatchewan. KCDC provides information to the
public about training, employment and economic development services in
