STYLES APPOINTED TO SASK WATER

Maynard Sonntag, minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Water

Corporation (Sask Water), today announced that Ron Styles has been

appointed acting president and chief executive officer of Sask Water.



"I'm pleased Mr. Styles has agreed to join Sask Water and to assist

the corporation in providing service to the people of Saskatchewan,"

Sonntag said.



Styles has 18 years of experience with the Saskatchewan Government,

including senior positions with the Department of Municipal

Government. He most recently served as associate deputy minister in

the housing division.



Brian Kaukinen, outgoing President and CEO of the corporation, is

taking early retirement.



"I've enjoyed my tenure at Sask Water," Kaukinen said. "Having served

here for the better part of six years and having served in a number of

positions in government since 1975, I want to go on to other

pursuits."
