Municipal Government Minister Carol Teichrob today announced the
Mortlach Youth Wellness Committee has received $15,000 in casino
profits through the Associated Entities Fund.
"The province established the Associated Entities Fund to distribute a
portion of casino profits for the benefit of Saskatchewan people,"
Teichrob said. "Since the beginning of 1997 nearly $3 million in
casino profits have been distributed throughout Saskatchewan for
programs that support children, youth and families."
The Mortlach Youth Drop-In Centre will use the grant to assist in
providing programs and services to area youth aged 10-19 through the
establishment of a youth drop-in centre.
Associated Entities Fund receives a portion of the profits from Casino
Regina, the Gold Eagle Casino, North Battleford, the Northern Lights
Casino, Prince Albert and the Painted Hand Casino, Yorkton.
