PANTHER INDUSTRIES INC. CONGRATULATED ON EXPANSION

Released on September 8, 1995

Economic Development Minister Dwain Lingenfelter today congratulated
Panther Industries Inc. of Davidson on its 8,600 square-foot expansion.
Lingenfelter was participating in a ribbon cutting ceremony for
expansion.

The expansion includes the construction of a warehouse and equipment
for bagging bulk potassium chloride-based water conditioning products.

"There's a growing mood of confidence in our province, and that's
reflected in the success of small companies like Panther Industries,
that have expanded," Lingenfelter said. "Our Partnership for Renewal
economic development strategy recognizes that government alone cannot
create jobs. However, we can work with communities and business to
help create the climate that will achieve our social and economic goals
for the province."

Panther Industries Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saskatoon-based
PIC Investment Group, works in partnership with the Potash Corporation
of Saskatchewan Sales Ltd. to package and distribute SoftTouch and
Envirosoft water softener brand for markets in the United States and
Canada.

Demand has approximately doubled each year since marketing began about
three years ago. This new, larger plant and new production equipment
will enable Panther Industries to increase packaging capacity for this
important consumer product.

Panther Industries Plant Manager Jack Schneider said if markets in the
United States and Canada continue to grow as they have in the past,
there is the potential for the plant to operate 24 hours a day.

"That could mean up to 16 jobs for Panther Industries, a welcome boost
for Davidson," Schneider said. "There's an excellent climate for
growth and investment right now thanks to record potash exports and
recent measures like the investment tax credit on capital purchases for
processing and manufacturing purposes, and reduced corporate income
taxes related to manufacturing and processing activities in
Saskatchewan."
