ERROR IN VOLUME 2 OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS

Released on November 1, 1995

Provincial Comptroller Gerry Kraus identified an error in Volume 2 of
the Public Accounts which were released on Friday, Oct. 27.

Kraus said the published travel expenses for Education, Training and
Employment Minister Pat Atkinson and Associate Minister Keith Goulet as
outlined on page 57 are in error.

"The correct travel expense for Atkinson should read $23,156 instead of
the previously published figure of $46,156. Goulet's actual travel
expense for 1994-95 was $39,348 rather than the figure of $56,598 which
appeared in the Public Accounts," Kraus said.

Kraus said this discrepancy resulted from an administrative error and
that an erratum would be issued.
