DOMBOWSKY APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF CROWN INVESTMENTS CORPORATION

Released on July 26, 1995

Premier Roy Romanow today announced the appointment of David Dombowsky
as President and CEO of the Crown Investments Corporation (CIC).

"Mr. Dombowsky has very impressive experience in public policy matters
and finance and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors
at the University of Saskatchewan," Romanow said. "He will bring a
vast array of knowledge, experience and skills to this position."

Dombowsky began his career in 1958 with Saskatchewan Finance, serving
in numerous capacities, including budget analyst, director of the
budget bureau and ultimately Deputy Minister. He also served as
Secretary of the Johnson Royal Commission established in 1962 to review
the efficiency and effectiveness of the Saskatchewan government.

He went on to the positions of Deputy Minister of the Department of
Industry and Commerce, Managing Director of Saskatchewan Economic
Development Corporation, and President and Chief Executive Officer of
the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan.

He is currently President of Matrix Enterprises Limited, a private
investment, marketing and consulting company.

Dombowsky was born and raised in Saskatchewan and earned a Bachelor of
Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a diploma in
Public Administration from Carlton University in Ottawa.

"Dombowsky has been providing very valuable consulting assistance to
CIC during the past few years," Romanow said. "This, combined with his
previous service within the Saskatchewan civil service made him a
strong candidate for the position of President of CIC. I am very
pleased that he has accepted this new challenge."

Dombowsky replaces Don Ching who leaves CIC September 1 to take an
important appointment in the telecommunications field. The details of
his new duties will be announced soon.

Romanow thanked Don Ching for his dedicated leadership and hard work at
CIC during the past four years.

"Don Ching played a central role in helping our government straighten
out the mega-projects of the 1980s and in improving the debt management
position of Saskatchewan's crown sector," Romanow said. "I am sure
that he will bring to his new job the same kind of sound leadership and
hard work that helped turn around the financial position of
Saskatchewan's crown sector."
