Mill Rate Returns

Mill rate survey information provides statistical information about tax assessment and levies.

1. Details and Forms

Mill rate survey information provides statistical information about tax assessment and levies. The information is used to analyze:

  • The amount of tax that will be collected per property class;
  • Municipal use of tax tools;
  • Use and impact of uniform mill rates and mill rate factors; and
  • Special tax levies applied and used.

Please see below to download the forms municipalities are required to complete and return to the Ministry of Government Relations.

2. Mill Rate Survey Results

The survey is based on responses and estimates established early in each taxing authority's fiscal year; therefore, the results will not necessarily correspond to the actual values reported at year end.

You can view and download the Excel copies of Mill Rate Survey Results from the Publications Centre.
