Accreditation

The Ministry of Health supports the participation of health organizations in the process of accreditation.

Accreditation Canada is a national organization that promotes excellence in the provision of health services and the efficient use of resources in health services organizations in Canada. Health service organizations can voluntarily participate in an accreditation program based on national standards. The Ministry strongly encourages all health organizations in Saskatchewan to pursue and attain the standards set out by Accreditation Canada.

The accreditation process evaluates all aspects of health service delivery from a client-centred perspective, and allows organizations to assess and compare their total organization against national quality standards so that they may achieve coordinated, responsive and appropriate programs.
