Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Basics Workshop

The Ministry of Education hosts a Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Basics Workshop for teachers, principals, educational assistants or other education professionals who are new to Prekindergarten or Kindergarten.

1. Benefits

This workshop provides the basics of the foundational understandings, practices and documents of the Prekindergarten and Kindergarten programs in Saskatchewan.

An experienced Prekindergarten and Kindergarten teacher will also provide information on:

  • holistic child development;
  • home visits;
  • family engagement;
  • scheduling;
  • classroom environment; and
  • documentation of learning.

2. Eligibility

The Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Basics Workshop is open to education professionals who are new to the Prekindergarten or Kindergarten program.

This valuable workshop is for:

  • teachers;
  • principals;
  • educational assistants;
  • support services personnel or administrators; and
  • Prekindergarten associates.
