Saskatchewan Protecting Patient Access to Personal Health Information with Renewed MySaskHealthRecord Contract

Released on March 31, 2026

The Government of Saskatchewan is reinforcing its commitment to patient-centered digital health by renewing its investment in MySaskHealthRecord, a secure online service that gives residents easy access to their personal health information.

Through eHealth Saskatchewan, government has approved an investment of up to $8 million to renew a contract with TELUS Health for MySaskHealthRecord. This ensures continued stability to maintain and enhance the platform while upholding strong standards for privacy, security and performance.

We are protecting access to personal health information for more than 750,000 Saskatchewan people with this renewed investment in MySaskHealthRecord," says Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill. "A renewed contract and ongoing enhancements to the platform puts patients first by helping them stay informed, engaged and connected to their care. When people can see their own test results and health history, it supports better conversations with their health care providers and ensures patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.”

Today, about 60 per cent of Saskatchewan residents have signed up to access the secure online service to their view laboratory results, medical imaging reports, immunization records, prescriptions and other clinical information. By providing timely, secure access to health information, MySaskHealthRecord allows patients to be more informed about their health and more prepared and engaged in discussions with their health care providers. Saskatchewan was among the first jurisdictions in Canada to introduce a provincial personal health information platform and continues to lead the country in per-capita registrations.

"Having access to my health information makes it easier to navigate the health system and manage my care," Patient Family Partner Tyler Moss said. "It helps me have better conversations with my care providers, puts us on the same page, and makes me feel like an active partner in my care."

Residents who have not yet signed up for MySaskHealthRecord are encouraged to do so. Registration is free for Saskatchewan residents, with options for family access where applicable. The MySaskHealthRecord mobile app makes it even easier to access health information at your fingertips. More information about the service and how to register is available at: https://www.ehealthsask.ca/MySaskHealthRecord/MySaskHealthRecord/.
