Premier Names Interim Deputy Minister

Released on August 28, 2017

Premier Brad Wall today announced that Alanna Koch, Deputy Minister to the Premier and Cabinet Secretary, is taking an unpaid leave of absence effective immediately.

Intergovernmental Affairs Deputy Minister Kent Campbell will act as interim Deputy Minister to the Premier and Cabinet Secretary during Ms. Koch’s leave of absence.

Campbell has worked in the Government of Saskatchewan for the past 21 years, including senior leadership roles as the Deputy Minister of Energy and Resources, Deputy Minister of the Economy, and Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.

“I have every confidence that Kent Campbell will ensure there is an orderly transition,” Wall said.  “Our government will continue to deliver the best possible programs and service to Saskatchewan people, and the operations of the public service will remain business-as-usual.”
