Released on June 12, 2015

Crown Investments Minister Don McMorris announced today that Blair Swystun has been named the new President of Crown Investments Corporation (CIC).

Mr. Swystun has been the Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of CIC since 2002.  He has filled the role of Acting President and CEO since the retirement of Dick Carter last fall.  Mr. Swystun is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and earned his Master of Business Administration.  He has 33 years of government experience, including various positions at Saskatchewan Finance, and has been with CIC since 1996.

“Blair has provided steady senior leadership throughout his years at CIC,” McMorris said.  “I am confident his skills and experience will be an asset managing the strategic direction of the crowns as the province continues to grow.”
