“The manufacturing sector in our province is diverse and successful,” Economy Minister Bill Boyd said.  “Saskatchewan manufacturers continue to be leaders in the Canadian industry through their innovation and commitment to the production of quality products.”

On a year-over-year basis, manufacturing shipments in Saskatchewan increased 4.2 per cent while nationally there was a 1.5 per cent decrease.

“Record numbers for a key economic sector is contributing to keeping Saskatchewan strong,” Boyd said.  “This level of production is evidence of the manufacturing industry’s confidence and the overall confidence in our province’s economy.”
