Condolence Books Available to Sign for Fallen Soldiers

Released on October 24, 2014

Today, Premier Brad Wall encouraged citizens to sign condolence books in memory of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent now available at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in the provincial capital.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these brave members of our Canadian Armed Forces killed in terrorist attacks,” Wall said.  “We also hope for a full recovery of those injured in these incidents, which have deeply saddened us, but have only strengthened our resolve and our confidence in the democratic institutions and the people of this great nation.”

Cirillo was shot and killed in Ottawa on Wednesday as he provided a ceremonial Honour Guard at Canada’s National War Memorial.  Vincent died Monday of his injuries following a hit-and-run incident in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

The condolence books are located in the main entrance of the Saskatchewan Legislature, 2405 Legislative Drive, Regina.  They will be available to the public until after the funerals for the fallen soldiers when they will be shared with the families.
