Motorists are reminded to slow down and watch for equipment and workers on highways and roads as Saskatchewan emerges from a long, cold and wet spring and construction gets underway.
“With new, simplified black and white signage and increased enforcement, we’re making it clear that drivers need to slow to 60 km/hr in work zones,” Highways and Infrastructure Minister Don McMorris said. “Nothing is more important than making sure the hard-working people who upgrade and maintain our transportation system get home safely at the end of the day.”
About 35 highway construction projects are currently underway in the province.
The weekly construction update will provide Saskatchewan residents with the latest details on projects to help to plan safe and efficient travel throughout the summer and fall.
